The Curious Concepts Project: Finished! Hooray!

Well it's done, totally finished. The Curious Concepts Project, for those who haven't been following along, was a small Kickstarter project I had been working on. Originally planned out to last 6 months, life thought it would be funny to cause a whole mess of tiny yet annoying delays, so the project stretched out to a little longer than a year. Otherwise I think it went well.

Summing up what I was asking of backers: " See some cool illustrations, Help make them available online, & Take part in the creation of a whole new series". And I'd have to say this project was pretty successful in doing those things. For one thing, these now exist;

Some of them are available on Etsy, along with many of my other illustrations/digital paintings. And thanks to the funds from this project - They're actually affordable and easy to ship now.

There's also a whole mess of Haiku Letter Drawings, which you can see on DeviantArt. Here are some of my favorites;

N.C. Sailor Boy - Haiku Letter Drawing by Kyle-Lefort on DeviantArt
Desert Sunset - Haiku Letter Drawing by Kyle-Lefort on DeviantArt
Thank You Flowers - Haiku Letter Drawing by Kyle-Lefort on DeviantArt
Bubbly Frog - Haiku Letter Drawing by Kyle-Lefort on DeviantArt

If you would like to see all the blog posts about this project, just follow the Curious Concepts Project tags.

In closing, I would like to thank everyone: For backing the project, for re-blogging/sharing the project so others knew about it, for following, for reading my posts, for commenting,... Thank you so much. I appreciate it, I really do. ^_^

So what's next? We we'll just have to wait and see.

34th Annual Dollhouse Miniatures Show and Sale!

>>> The Western New York Miniature Enthusiasts are having their 34th Annual Dollhouse Miniatures Show and Sale on Sunday, September 28th! <<<

If you are in the area and love dollhouse miniatures and/or you want a chance to see some really cool small scale scenes in person, you should go to this show.
More info on the club's site; http://www.wnyminis.com/

And please note ~ New location this year; Marygold Manor, 770 Maryvale Drive, Cheektowaga, NY
(If you go to the old place, you will be disappointed)

---

I will be one of the vendors at the show again this year, and am currently busy getting everything ready to go. I still have a lot to do, so before I forget, here are a few more announcements;

Time permitting, I will be adding some photos of new items made for the show over on DeviantArt; http://kyle-lefort.deviantart.com/
Since I know many of my regular customers will not be able to make it all the way to NY for a dollhouse show, I will also try to list a few items as short eBay auctions beforehand.

*** And a quick heads up about my online shops. Most of my listings have been set to expire within the next week or two (even the possible new ones I just mentioned). The weekend of the show my Etsy shop will be closed and my eBay shop will probably be completely empty. When the shops are back open again (It may take a couple days), some things may no longer be available and I may be making changes to sets/lots/etc. depending on show sales. So if you are one of my auction watchers or were thinking about making a purchase this month, keep in mind that changes are on the way and the listings are disappearing soon - fair warning.

Looking forward to the show, and if you plan on going, I'll see you there!

And Then Came eBay

Just an announcement to anyone interested in my miniature work: I've started selling things on eBay. I'm not bailing on Etsy just yet, but between making plans to try out other venues and talking to other mini-collectors about what sites they liked/trusted, I'm willing to give it a try if you guys are.

But Kyle, you posted a link to eBay in your sidebar weeks ago.
Yes I did, good eye.

Like with all new ventures, there are things I had to read up on and some things worth figuring out before I was certain that I wanted to make eBay a regular thing. I think I like it, and I've made a couple sales already.
Now it's official. I'm on eBay :)

>>>My eBay listings<<<

Feel free to browse through what's available. Here are photos of my some of my current listings;

Some things you may have seen before, while others were made specially for the new eBay shop-more will be posted soon. If you would like to see new items as I make them, without having to follow me on Etsy AND eBay, feel free to visit my DeviantArt gallery. I am also trying to keep an up to date Facebook album for my miniature work, but something about FB expecting me to pay to just put my posts into my follower's timelines makes that task the last thing on my to do list. I can post-literally anywhere else- and know that my followers can see everything. Seems silly to me...

Anyway, that's what's new. Feel free to let me know what you think. (I listen)
