The "Big" difference from the last two years-these are quarter scale.
Here, check out the size difference from last year;
One inch vs. Quarter inch. Neat, isn't it?
So why the dramatic scale change? Well, I sort of made an unofficial promise to some local people that I would give quarter scale a real try this year. And try I sure did. Consider this the official opening of the Quarter Inch Scale Minis section of my Etsy shop. Not sure if I'll have time to make anymore quarter scale anything for a while, but it's a start. ^_^
Wow, Kyle, these are really beautiful. You did an amazing job with the details on these tiny houses. I am not sure I have the eyes or patience for it, so I really admire the work you did on them. : )

Oh wow, quarter scale!? You're crazy! lol But, honestly, they look really, really good. :)
ReplyDeleteI did get a lot of requests for more 1/2 and 1/4 scale items when I did my shows last year. Then when I made some items, they didn't sell at all. Funny how these things work.
My family thinks I'm crazy too. XD I already had some one inch scale gingerbread houses though, so it was a good time try and make the quarter scale ones.
DeleteHaven't gotten any 1/2 requests, but the club that ran the last show does most of their projects in quarter scale now, and they buy up anything they think they can use for quarter scale, including some super tiny pumpkins I made. Not going to do tons of things in this scale, but I did promise them that I would try it out. :)
Wow, Kyle! These tiny gingerbread houses are Enchanting!!! Quarter scale is what my Tree House project is done in... I admire your Teeny Tiny minis!!!
